FAQ
Yes! Tickets to attend the concert are available for purchase. Each additional ticket grants access to the post-race concert experience for one non-participant of at least nineteen years of age. Tickets will be available with race kits. Click HERE to purchase a ticket. A registration confirmation is required to purchase a ticket. If you do not have a confirmation, you can contact admin@bluenosemarathon.com.
PLEASE NOTE: Registered participants for Beat Beethoven already receive access to the post-race concert experience as part of their registration. This ticket option is for non-participants only.
Participants are welcome to walk or run the race. If you’re looking to participate in the challenge, you’ll want to be able to compete the distance within 50 minutes; however, this is not a requirement. If you need extra time to complete the race portion of the event, don’t sweat it! There will be a intermission before the post-race concert begins. You will still have plenty of time to celebrate after you cross the finish.
If you can no longer make the in-person event, you can transfer your registration to another participant or take advantage of our No Sweat Deferral Policy.
Transfer Policy
Beat Beethoven offers the option to transfer a race registration to another participant. All transfers are subject to a fee of $1.95 +HST and processing.
Transfers can be completed until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, by clicking the TRANSFER button in your registration.
Please email admin@bluenosemarathon.com if you need assistance with your transfer.
After this deadline, all transfers must be made in person at race kit pick up for a fee of $10 +HST and processing.
No Sweat Policy
In lieu of our No Refund Policy, Beat Beethoven offers participants the ability to defer their race entry known as our No Sweat Policy. A confirmed and paid registration can be deferred for any reason until 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
Your No Sweat can be used towards one of our upcoming races of equal or lesser value, up to and including the 2025 Beat Beethoven event:

- Not Since Moses 2025 (exact date to be determined)
- Valley Harvest Marathon October 11-12, 2025
- Beat Beethoven 2025 (exact date to be determined)
Participants who wish to take advantage of the No Sweat Policy will be required to pay a fee of $20 +HST and processing on adult events and $10 +HST and processing on youth events upon registering for their next event.
Please email admin@bluenosemarathon.com to process your No Sweat. As long as your email is time stamped by the deadline, we will honour your deferral.
No Sweat redemption codes will be issued within 10 business days of race weekend concluding.
Once the No Sweat code has been redeemed, that race registration cannot be deferred.
The safety and well-being of everyone involved is our top priority, and Blue Nose Marathon will take all necessary precautions to avoid any potential risks. There may be situations such as, but not limited to, lighting, hurricane, state of emergency, and terrorist threat at the event location that may result in cancellation. Inclement weather, such as rain and/ or wind, do not constitute a cancellation.
If there are factors that may cause a cancellation, participants can expect the following with respect to notice. Please note, these timelines below assume a potential situation is known prior to the specified times referenced:
- 72 hours prior to the event an update via email and social media
- 48 hours prior to the event a second update via email and social media
- 24 hours prior to the event a third update via email and social media
- 3 hours prior to the start an update via email and social media
- 3 business days post-event update via email and social media (applies to a cancellation situation)
In the unfortunate situation that Blue Nose Marathon needs to cancel one its races, all participants of that race will be moved to a virtual event. Participants can expect to receive an update within three business days of the event cancellation. In some instances, Blue Nose may be able to reschedule the race. If Blue Nose can reschedule a race, this will be communicated to participants in the notice immediately following the cancellation (3 business days post-event). Due to the complexity, logistics, and nature of some of our races, rescheduling is not usually possible.
