Charity

With the help of our generous participants, Beat Beethoven presented by Benjamin Bridge has the goal to raise $2,500 for our charity partner, Symphony Nova Scotia. Help us reach our goal by adding a donation to your registration or donating on behalf of a participant.

Symphony Nova Scotia has championed professional orchestral music in Nova Scotia for 40 years, reaching more than 50,000 Nova Scotians of all ages each year with some of the most innovative concerts and educational offerings in the country.

Symphony Nova Scotia performs everything from baroque and classical to pops and jazz, offering many ways to enjoy symphonic music including our mainstage Spotlight, Baroque, and Fusion Series; accessible community programs; pre-concert video chats and online concerts; local public library performances; free community concerts including our popular Family Series; and more.

Symphony Nova Scotia also places a high priority on community engagement and corporate social responsibility. Their education and outreach programs reach over 15,000 elementary, junior high, and senior high school students in a typical year – those who might not otherwise have access to live symphonic music.

The Symphony is also home to the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra since 2018, with a program that allows our young musicians to gain performance experience with professional musicians; learn essential and transferrable life skills such as leadership, self-confidence, teamwork, and resilience; and develop a greater appreciation for live orchestral music and the meaning it can bring to our lives.

It is their mission to serve Nova Scotians as a vibrant, versatile, and highly skilled musical resource, sharing inspiring experiences that foster well-being throughout all our varied communities. Generous contributions like yours allow them to share their passion for music and achieve this mission.

Thank you for helping to make Nova Scotia a vibrant place to call home!
